This painting was inspired by a dreamlike trip to Twillingate, where we climbed the hills and watched the ocean sparkle beneath drifting icebergs. The rocks rose from the blue and green waves, strong yet gentle under the summer light. Above, a great seagull soared high, droplets of seawater glimmering as it caught its prize from the ocean — a moment of freedom and grace.
On the hilltop, campers brewed tea beside their buses and vans, savoring the quiet joy of being present — watching the ice before it melted away. Around them, a field of dandelions covered the ground, their seeds dancing away with the wind. Each breeze whispered of time slipping through our fingers — of moments we can never hold but can always cherish.
Ice will melt, seeds will scatter, and seasons will change. But when it’s your time, bloom; when you can, fly. Make the best of life while you can — for every breath, every sunrise, and every chance to begin again is a gift....
