"Young in Heart" This piece was created shortly after Lufei relocated to Newfoundland, inspired by her first week’s trip to Leech Brook in Grand Falls–Windsor. Surrounded by forest beauty, she noticed tree roots winding above the surface, frogs hopping along the trail, and the powerful rush of a nearby waterfall. She swam in the cool, fresh water and watched teenagers leap fearlessly off cliffs—reminding her of her own joyful childhood moments spent playing in the wild. "Young in Heart" captures the spirit of those memories—playful, free, and full of wonder. It’s a reminder that no matter how old we grow, the simple things that once made us happy can still bring us joy. Whether it’s an adventure in the woods or trying something new, there’s always magic in the little moments. Don’t forget what it felt like to be young: how easily we smiled, how freely we laughed, and how everything felt possible. Age may shape our bodies, but it cannot dim the spirit. We are always young at heart—if we choose to be.
