For Lufei, this painting is deeply personal. She left behind a successful medical career in China and came to Canada alone—a country where she didn’t speak the language and knew no one. She was in pain, unsure of where life would lead, but something deep inside urged her forward. She doesn’t know where she’ll end up, but she gives her all to everything she wants to try—exploring a brand new life, discovering her creative gifts, and allowing herself to start over.
